Pre-Wedding Photography in Austria
Your wedding portraits.
An unforgettable trip together.
By Elias Choi-Buttinger
An Austrian photographer, here on the ground
I grew up in Austria and live in Upper Austria. I can help you weigh up the places you’ve saved against the season, access and time you actually have.
Local knowledge. A familiar connection.
My wife, Weng Teng (Wendy), is originally from Macau and joins us on your pre-wedding shoot. She helps with communication and translation, so you can ask questions, explain an idea and feel at ease throughout the day. For couples visiting from Hong Kong, mainland China or Macau, she brings a familiar cultural connection. Alongside my local knowledge of Austria, you have both of us there to support you.
Artistic direction with experience behind it
Roughly 12 years working professionally in contemporary dance, together with my work in choreography and film, have shaped how I notice posture, light and composition. I bring that attention to your portraits, from a full-length gown photograph to a close-up.
You plan directly with me
The person you discuss your shoot with is the photographer behind the camera. We can talk through what you love, what worries you and what you need the photographs for.
A pre-wedding shoot, with the wedding still ahead.
Your ceremony and celebrations can happen at home. This trip gives you time for the portraits you’ve been imagining, without fitting them between guests and a reception.
Dress up, explore somewhere beautiful, and enjoy having this time together.
A look you’re excited about.
Bring a few photographs you love. We’ll discuss what draws you to them—perhaps dramatic scenery, elegant portraits or a more playful feel—and use that to give your shoot a clear direction.
A route that makes sense.
Start with the Austrian location guides. Then we’ll narrow the options around your travel dates, outfits and comfort with walking, rather than trying to squeeze every saved viewpoint into one day.
Ready for your celebration.
If you want photographs for invitations, a wedding slideshow or printed displays, tell me the date you need them. We’ll discuss editing and delivery timing before you book.
Planning from overseas? Start with these three things.
Your travel dates, your wedding date and the scenery you love
You don’t need to arrive with a finished itinerary. Send me your possible travel dates, when you’ll need the photographs and a few ideas for the setting. Whether you’re travelling from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore or elsewhere, we can use those details to work out a sensible starting point.
Know what you’re booking before you arrange the rest
Your offer sets out the photography coverage, edited-image collection and delivery schedule. Location scouting and all my costs for the agreed shoot—including my travel, accommodation and cable-car tickets—are included in your photography price.
Your own travel, accommodation, tickets, outfits, hair and makeup, and any other services you choose are separate. We’ll make that clear before you book, so you can plan the rest of your trip.
